Lea wasn’t at all surprised when Cory accepted her offer for him to drive and was happy to get settled in the passenger seat. She already knew it was going to be a long drive home for her, just because she was antsy to get home and be with her husband again; in more ways than one. She giggled softly against his lips, shaking her head. “I think I have an idea of just how much you missed me, especially if it’s anywhere near the amount that I missed you.” She smirked, eagerly kissing him again. “As soon as we get home I promise you can do whatever you want to me.” She added against his lips, nipping at his bottom lip playfully before getting situated again in her seat. When his hand found her thigh, her own hand moved to rest on top of his, it was just simple touches like that she missed the most and she felt like she could breathe again with him in the car. “Oh, she didn’t miss you at all.” She smirked over towards him. “She most definitely didn’t sleep on your side of the bed almost every night.” She added sarcastically with a smile. “Though, I still missed you more.”
Cory was more than happy to get Lea home as fast as possible to spend the rest of the day with her tucked away in their bedroom. “I fully intend to take you up on that offer.” He smirked, continuing to drive. As her hand met with his on her thigh, he intertwined their fingers, sighing as he let himself relax for the first time in a while. “Not at all, huh?” He teased, laughing. “Oh, it sounds like she was glad I was gone,” Cory smiled, imagining Lea on her side, wrapped in covers and Sheila on his side of the bed. “Honestly, I started to go insane this last week, you don’t even know. I wanted to see you so bad. Calling you and talking to you on the phone just doesn’t compare to having you in my arms, baby.” He sighed as he maneuvered his way through the streets.
Lea scoffed at his words. “Did you really think I was serious about that rule?” She murmured up to him, her face moving to bury into his neck as she inhaled her husband’s familiar scent, a sigh of relief washing over her at the pure fact that he was home and in her arms again. A part of her couldn’t believe she had survived without him for as long as she had. “I love you like crazy, Cory.” She whispered up to him, her own dark eyes meeting his amber ones and a wide grin stretched across her face, she hadn’t felt this happy since before he left. “I’m just so happy you’re home!” She giggled, taking his hand in her own and squeezing it gently. “But come on, let’s actually get home.” She advised softly as she could already feel people’s eyes on them and the camera phones suddenly popping out. It was a flaw to their fame, especially right now because she just wanted to get home. With her hand tightly in Cory’s she pulled him outside to their car, fortunately it seemed like the paparazzi hadn’t made their debut here yet and she eagerly pulled him closer again to steal a final kiss. “You want to drive?” She asked flashing the keys up in front of his face.
Just feeling her hand in his again made him feel like he was finally home. No matter where he was, as long as he was with her, he was home. “Yeah, let’s just get home so we can relax.” Well, relaxing wasn’t exactly on his schedule for the night, but he figured that he’d keep it clean while they were still out in public. Seeing people with their phones clearly taking pictures, Cory offered a few smiles here and there, trying to be polite. But honestly, he just wanted to be alone with Lea, so as soon as they were by their car, he felt ten times better. “Yeah, I’ll drive.” He said with a smile, first opening the trunk to put his carry-on and his suitcase in. Once he hopped in the driver’s side, Cory put on his seat belt, waiting for Lea to get situated before he pulled her in for another kiss. “If we weren’t in the middle of an airport parking lot, I’d seriously take you right there in the backseat of this car. You don’t know how much I’ve missed you, baby.” He murmured against her lips before pulling away slowly, his eyes on hers. Putting the car into drive, he started making his way out of the parking lot, one hand on Lea’s thigh. “So, how much has Sheila missed me?” He joked softly, a slight smile on his face.
Lea felt giddy with anticipation as she parked the car out in front of the airport. It had been a little over a month since the last time she’d gotten to see her husband so she was more than ready to have him home once more. She loved getting to be in New York with practically all of her family close by but even they had started getting on her nerves after awhile. She felt like she could just burst at any moment with excitement as she hopped out of the car, keeping her head down as she headed inside. She didn’t mind getting noticed by the paparazzi but sometimes she just preferred to have no pictures taken whatsoever of her doing something as simple as picking her husband up from the airport. All in all, she just had so much to tell him and even though she hadn’t had caffeine all day she still felt as if she had. It was easy to spot her husband through the crowded airport; his height nearly always gave him away. Luckily, it seemed as if her own short stature was keeping her pretty well hidden with the crowd so she eagerly rushed to him, wrapping her arms around his waist. “Hi, baby!” She squealed, her arms moving to his neck so she could bring him in for a much needed kiss. “I missed you so much!”
The moment Cory’s eyes met Lea’s tiny frame running towards him, he couldn’t help but smile. God, he missed her, and finally having her near him again was more than he could ask for. As soon as Lea’s arms were wrapped around his waist, Cory dropped his grip on his bag, pulling her closer the second her arms drifted around his neck to pull him in for a kiss. He chuckled as she spoke, him nodding. “I thought you said no kissing until we got home, Lea. Breaking your own rules again, huh?” He said before kissing her again, wanting to keep her as close to him as possible. Once again taking his lips off of hers, Cory held onto her tightly as he hugged her, his face burying in her neck to finally just take in every part of her again. “I feel like I’ve been away from you for years. I love you, baby.” Pressing a soft kiss to her neck, he pulled away to look down at her, one hand rubbing along her back. “I’m so glad I’m finally back here again.”
Cory was exhausted. Filming had taken a lot out of him, but honestly, he was happy to have another film under his belt. Lea was obviously successful no matter what she did, because no matter what she said, people were going to hear about her forever. Even when she was fifty and not working, she was still going to be a household name no matter what. Sighing as he moved to baggage claim, Cory waited rather impatiently to get his one bag, tapping his foot against the ground. Honestly, he just wanted to see Lea and finally be able to even just hold her hand for the first time in weeks. Not being able to touch her physically in weeks was driving him crazy and talking to her over the phone just made the desire to see her even greater. Once he had his bag in his hand, Cory started pushing his way out of the crowded area, walking and trying to look for Lea.
Oh please, I’ll have you know that was decaf thank you very much. I’m just naturally hyper and excited for today! Just wait and see I’ll stay up all night long with you! I’m picking you up at the airport just so you know. Though I plan on holding off any kisses until we get home.
Good, then you won’t crash on me. Okay. I’ll see you at the airport, then. I’m kind of just getting off the plane, so… you should probably leave soon. I’ll probably be waiting for my bag for twenty million hours, so I won’t be waiting for you. And excuse me? No kisses until we get home? That’s not okay.
Nap!? I can’t nap!!! I’ve had four cups of coffee today already!! I’m wired and waiting not so patiently for you to get home!! Besides, I’m more than ready to spend tomorrow in bed all day.
Lee, you seriously need to stop drinking so much coffee. You’re going to have a heart attack one day from so much caffeine in your system. You’re gonna crash on me halfway through the night, I know it.
I’ve had to spend a whole month without you, of course I’m overly excited! I just want you home! And now, we wouldn’t want you going insane, would we?
No. Insane is not good. Also, you should take a nap or something before I get home. You’ll need the rest. Because I don’t plan on leaving the bed until tomorrow.
I will finally get to see the man I married again!!!
You seem overly excited, baby. Well, not overly, because I’m pretty sure I’d go insane if I have to wait forever to see you again.
